Discipleship

Introduction
The Disciple’s Way was a six-week, interactive multi-media look at the journey of the Christian disciple.  Each session included clips from The Way, games, Bible verses, discussion and live testimony. You can read a summary of the course here.

Why Bother?
During the first session of the course, participants were asked to write down good reasons to ‘leave home’ and start the journey of faith. Further details on what was said are available here.

On praying
In session 3 of the course, prayer was the topic under consideration.  People outside the course had been asked for their tips on prayer via social media. These were then fed into discussions with participants at the course, with interesting results.

Staying on track
In session 4 of the course, participants thought about the Countryside Code – a set of simple rules designed to ensure that all countryside users respect the landscape through which they pass and do not wander from the path.  Each group thought about a ‘disciple’s code’ with simple advice on how not to wander from the path…

Taking it further
The Disciple’s Way was originally written to coincide with the London Olympics in 2012. In 2013, Richard was commissioned by Authentic Media to research the subject further and write a book on the subject.  The book was published in April 2017, and is widely available.
