Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

As a Church we meet at various points during the week but specifically gather together on a Sunday morning at 10am.  You can find all the details about all the other activities from the Church calendar here

We meet at the church building at:
Cheap Street
Newbury
Berkshire

You can see a map on our contact us page

The car park at NBC is controlled by a ANPR camera and unauthorised users are liable to receive a PCN. Please ensure you only park in accordance with the published conditions that are posted all around the car park.
For users who are attending Sunday Services, Weddings, Funerals etc. there is no restriction to parking but please note that spaces are limited and are on a first come first served basis.
Outside of these times parking is managed by an ANPR system for authorised users. This system operates 24/7/365 and registers all vehicles that enter and leave the NBC car park.

Regular Church attenders who have not already registered can apply for permission to park by sending an
e-mail, to: admin@newburybaptistchurch.org or contacting the office on 07901 795987.

Your application will be reviewed and if appropriate, permission granted although this is not a given due to the restricted number of spaces available.

Should you have received a PCN for unauthorised parking, all queries/payments must be address to CPM in accordance with the instruction that can be found on the documentation you have received.
Please note, NBC does not have any control over the issue of PCN’s or receive any income from resulting payments
.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.  The main atTenLogo service (Sunday at 10am!) gives us a chance to connect with God. This is done through a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs using both the organ and a worship band.  We will also have time for prayer, asking for God to intervene in particular needs for local and global situations.  We will read a passage from the Bible and then our minister or another speaker will share their understanding of the meaning and message of that passage for our lives today. There is always an opportunity to respond to the message and engage in further discussion at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served at the end of the atTenLogo service which allows us to connect with each other.

What happens for children at church?

We have an engaging programme for kids at the Church for ages 0–12. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship together for the first part of the morning. Someone will then announce when the children need to go to their programme. You will need to go with your children and register them on your first visit.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under church life.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!

You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
