Every 3rd Sunday of the month - check the calendar to find the next event
Start: 4.15pm Finish: 5pm*
Where: Newbury Baptist Church
* The church will remain open for you to share your (BYO) picnic tea after this event.

Open House is a short "family friendly" event on a Sunday afternoon which we aim to make accessible for everyone.  The format will vary but we will normally sing a couple of songs, have a short talk and then there will be a craft available.  The event will be followed by time to get to know people from the church with the option to bring your own picnic tea along and eat with others.

September 2016 - Prayer

Open House returned after the summer break in September and spent the afternoon looking at prayer.  With five fingers on the glove there was opportunity to think about different ways that we can pray and then to spend time praying for the things that mattered to us.  Click the photos below to explore more and put Sunday 16th October in your diary when we'll be back for more!

May 2016 - Jericho

As the sun shone we found the first reference to ice cream in the Bible as we looked at the story of the Walls of Jericho coming down.  Having assembled into our tribes and in some cases adopted a few extra we set to work making our trumpets and then enjoyed making as much noise as possible led by our very own Joshua around the church!  On this occasions the walls stayed firmly up but taught us that sometimes God will ask us to do unexpected and strange things but He has a reason and we need to do what God asks of us.

February 2016 - Noah

In February we heard the story of Noah and how God always keeps his promises; the rainbow is a sign of his promise.  We then set to work building arks (click the photo to see in full size)
